Week beg 30.11.2015

For the next two weeks we will be reading and looking at the story of The Gingerbread Man. This week we have been creating story maps and writing about our favourite part of the story. In maths the children have been learning how to perform subtraction. We have been counting out objects and moving away the amount to be subtracted away and then counting what is left in order to find the answer. Our first year one reading event is next week on Thursday 10th December. The event will start at 2pm so please be here and ready to begin at 2pm. The theme of our event is 'reading is not just about books'. We look forward to seeing you there! Just a friendly reminder to encourage your children to hand in all slips, homework and reading records as we don't have the time to look through the book bags each day. Many thanks.
