United Kingdom Board

In each of our classrooms we have a display board that has a map of the United Kingdom

If you were lucky enough to visit some where in the UK during the holidays please send us some photos so we can add them to our UK display boards in class! These can be given to a member of staff or emailed to garrickgreenyear1@gmail.com.

If you would like a letter, then do ask a member of the Year One team for a copy.

e-safety

The children have been learning about staying safe online all year. This week we shared a book about not giving out your password to others. The children have been busy designing posters to show Mrs Dewing about our learning. We wonder if she might have a favourite one... !

We hope you are able to join us for one of our internet safety sessions.
There are two sessions and you are welcome to attend either-

Tuesday 15th January 7 pm at Garrick Green Infant School
Thursday 24th January 9 am at Lodge Lane Infant School

If you need another copy of the letter, please ask.

In English we have been learning about the story of Hansel and Gretel. The children worked in groups to make and follow trails outside. We had such good fun and there was lots of use of language to solve problems and negotiate.

The children have designed and labelled their own gingerbread houses.
