Thank you to all those adults who were able to attend our first reading event. The theme for our reading events this year is 'Reading isn't just about books' and we hope you all enjoyed reading a set of instructions to decorate your own gingerbread men!
In Maths this week we have been looking at money at recognising coins. As part of your home learning you could play shops, look at real money and support your child to recognise the different coins, they could also practice adding coins together.
In English we have been reading the story of The Gingerbread Man. We have been using adjectives to describe the Gingerbread Man and writing our own instructions. As part of your home learning you could look at different types of instructions such as following a recipe, building toys such as lego or playing a game.
Next Friday 17th is Children in Need and the children are welcome to come dressed in their own clothes in return for a donation.
If you would like your child to have their flu vaccination in school please return your form ASAP. These will also be taking place next Friday 17th November.
In Year 1 we encourage to children to become more independent. This means that we do not look in their book bags for letters so please remind your children to hand them in- or hand them in to an adult at the beginning or end of the day. Thank you for your support!
We are happy to hear that lots of you are using PurpleMash- you do not need to save any work on here- we will inform you if and when we set work on here.
