This week it has been International Week and we have been learning all about Russia. Can your children share with you any facts that they have learnt about Russia? Can they remember the name of the capital city? Any of the traditional foods they eat? What the temperature is like?
This week we have...
- Compared the weather in Norwich and Moscow every day
- Made traditional Russian Honey Cake
- Created art work in the style of abstract Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky
- Listened to music from famous composer and musician Tchaikovsky
- Taken part in our own Football World cup- well done to team Belgium!!

We listened to Swan Lake by composer Tchaikovsky and drew to the music |
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to our final year one reading event- we hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did! Please remember that reading isn't all about books- developing language and enjoying sharing and telling stories really helps and supports children.
We will be incubating 12 eggs this half term and to help us to raise money to fund this we have a 100 square where you can pick a number for £1. We will pick one lucky winner to win £30!!
