Week beginning 16th November 2015
This week we have introduced the traditional tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have acted out the story and have been discussing how they would feel if someone ate their food and broke their chairs!
In maths we have introduced time - we have been focussing on understanding how time is used as a form of measurement and the different units of time. We have also looked at sequencing our days through morning, afternoon, evening and night time. As the week progresses we will be looking at the features of clocks and making the time.
Could we ask everyone to try and help their child(ren) read at least 3 times a week at home - any extra is great, but just the three reads makes a huge difference to their reading development.
Please could you also encourage your child to complete their homework independently each week as this will help consolidate their learning. Homework is usually sent home on a Friday and they have a week to complete this in so it can be broken down into smaller amounts if this helps them to complete it.
