Week ending 19.12.4

What have we been doing in English? This week we have been reading Harvey Slumfenberger’s Christmas Present by John Burningham. The children came up with their own ideas for what might be wrapped up in Harvery’s present and they also wrote their own lists for Santa. What have we been doing in Maths? The children received a letter from the harp telling them that it missed the Giant. They were challenged to build some new giants to keep the harp company. We looked at how different 3D shapes could be used to create the features of the giant. The children also measured and compared the heights of each giant and the size of their feet. The children have also been busy preparing for their Christmas party tomorrow – please remember that they can bring a set of party clothes to change into if they wish. Have a good Christmas.
