We hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend and the glorious weather! Please remember to send children in with sun cream already applied (they can also bring some in to reapply but please write your child's name on the bottle) and a bottle of water.
Last week the children had a fantastic time at the Big Sing! The sun was shining, we all danced, sang our hearts out and got to listen to some fantastic music! Below are a few pictures...
In PE this half term we are learning tri-golf. The children are really enjoying learning how to hold the putter and chipper and know not to cross the red safety line!
In maths this week we have been recapping time and learning how to tell the time to half past the hour. We know that when the minute hand is on the 12 it is o'clock and when it is on the 6 (half way round the clock) then it is half past the hour. As part of your home learning this week you could recap on days on the week, months of the year, talk about your daily routine and the time things happen, look at watches and digital clocks.
In English this week we read the story The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. The children sequenced the life-cycle of a butterfly and will be using time connectives such as first, next, then and finally to write about it. We have also been doing some paper craft to make and decorate butterflies.
