Week beginning 16th January

In English this week we have continued to look at the story of Hansel and Gretel. The children have been designing their own gingerbread houses and describing them in their writing. We even had a visit from Hansel and Gretel and the children thought of their own questions to ask them. In maths we have been revisiting halving and learning about quartering as four equal parts. Please remember that if you have visited any where in the United Kingdom we would love the children to bring in a photograph and share this with us so that we can add it to our map of the United Kingdom. Dates for the diary: Chinese New Year lunch Thursday 26th Jan Castle Museum trip Wednesday 8th Feb (children will have to wear uniform as normal and bring a packed lunch) Year One Maths even Wednesday 31st January 2pm in the hall
