Week beginning 12th September

We are pleased to say that the children are all settling in well to year one. We have had a very busy first week and children have coped well with this. This week we have been reading The Gruffalo written by Julia Donaldson. We have been retelling the story by going on our very own Gruffalo hunt through the school woods, making character puppets and we will be writing about our favourite part of the story. We have been learning about the importance of staying safe online and have taught the children to always ask before ising the school laptops or Ipads and to tell an adult straight away if they see something that they are unsure of or something they do not like. Dates for the diary- Thursday 29th September is our Open Afternoon Wednesday 5th October Year 1 trip to Tide & Time Museum in Great Yarmouth (pirate dress can be worn) Friday 7th October dress up as a pirate
