week beginning 03.05.2016

This week in English we have been focusing on comprehension in reading and practising our handwriting. In Maths we have been exploring the properites of 2D and 3D shape. This linked to our trip to the Cathedral where the children learnt about shape and symbols in the Christian religion. The children were all exceptionally well behaved and the tour guides said they were a credit to our school. Later this week we will be visiting St Margaret's Chruch in Old Catton to compare it to the Cathedral. Please come along to our Big Book Share next Monday at 230pm. Please remember that school still ends at 3pm so children cannot leave the school before then. Our Year One Reading event is coming up on Thursday 26th May at 9am. Class photos will be on May 23rd.
